Getting connected

Whether you are building just one house or a block of flats, it is likely you will need a new water supply connection.

It is also worth considering a replacement supply connection, even if you are just renovating an old house.  If you are replacing a lead supply pipe, we will usually replace the section from our main to the property boundary free of charge. Please download our Lead Factsheet for more details.

Our Network Services team can arrange a site survey and a quotation for the work required. A fee is charged for this service, deductible from the cost of any work we undertake - see section three of our charging arrangements 2018/19 for the fee breakdown. In the case of new properties, if we consider a new water main is needed we will contact you regarding these proposals. We offer a full design and installation service. Alternatively, you can arrange for the mains to be installed by an approved self-lay provider.  A list of approved self-lay providers can be found here.

To make an application simply complete our online form. Alternatively, you can download the application form and email it to our Network Services Team at DeveloperServices@seswater.co.uk or send it by post. We aim to provide a quote for all supply applications within 10 working days of receipt of the form and quote payment.

Payments can be made via credit/debit card online or by phoning our Network Services Team on 01737 772000 and selecting option 4. You can also send us a cheque made payable to SES Water.

All supporting documentation should be sent to DeveloperServices@seswater.co.uk once the new water supply connection form has been submitted.
