New name and new look for Sutton and East Surrey Water - 22/02/2017

Sutton and East Surrey Water -

Sutton and East Surrey Water is changing its trading name and logo from Monday 20 February

The company, which supplies safe, reliable, high quality drinking water to customers across parts of Surrey, West Sussex, Kent and south London, has become SES Water.

A new logo will be appearing on customers’ bills and letters, head office signage, the company website, vans and uniforms and will be rolled out across other parts of the business over the coming months.

The new trading name and logo reflects bigger changes that are happening in the water sector from April 2017.

That’s when 1.2 million non-household customers in England - businesses, charities and public sector organisations - get to choose who provides the customer service and billing parts of their water and sewerage service.

However, for household customers of SES Water there is no change with the company remaining responsible for abstracting, treating and supplying drinking water just as it does now, while it will also still deal with customers’ calls, queries and complaints.

Anthony Ferrar, Managing Director of SES Water said: “There is a lot of change happening in the water sector with the introduction of competition for non-household customers.

“We’re taking this opportunity to update the name and logo for the part of our business which serves our household customers, not least as it better reflects our vision to be an outstanding water company delivering excellent service.

“We consulted with our staff and customers on the proposed change and their feedback has fed directly into the final decision to re-brand as SES Water. We’re really excited about our new look, the first change to our brand in twenty years.”

SES Water has already written to all its household customers about the change. Although customers do not need to do anything it has set up a dedicated phone line on 01737 305800 and email at haveyoursay@seswater.co.uk if they do have any questions
