Sutton and East Surrey Water hold Drop-in event about A217 pipeline - 28/06/2011

On Saturday, Sutton and East Surrey Water held the first of two Drop-in events at Kingswood Village Hall, to help inform local residents about the essential new water main, which is shortly to begin construction between Mogador and Burgh Heath, and will affect drivers along the A217.

Its construction will inevitably result in delays for drivers and the company is very aware of the frustrations that will be caused. But they are keen to reassure everyone affected that they will be doing all they can to minimise disruption wherever possible.

Sutton and East Surrey Water’s Operations Director, Mike Hegarty said: “I would encourage anyone who is interested in knowing more about the reasons for the pipeline, and has any particular concerns, to attend the next Drop-in event. The team involved in the pipeline planning and construction will be there and available to answer any questions.”

The next Drop-in event will take place on Wednesday 6 July between 10am and 9pm at St John’s Church Hall, opposite the station in Tadworth.  Young children are welcome and facilities will be provided to interest them while parents view the displays.

More details and updates about the progress of the pipeline can be found here.
