Water for Health Talk
Duration: 40 minutes
Water - the drink to help you think!
Most of us do not drink as much as we should. In this talk we aim to help pupils understand why they should drink more water by examining the role of water in our bodies more closely.
In this talk we:
- look at how our bodies use water
- find out how we lose water
- find out what happens if we don’t drink enough water
- explain the importance of personal hygiene
The talk lasts 40 minutes and is supported by an amusing powerpoint presentation featuring our cheeky cartoon characters Flow and Squirt!
Each pupil receives a reusable “Water – the drink to help you think” drinking bottle and our Finger-ma-jig game. We leave you with a classroom poster and a follow-up worksheet.
We look forward to seeing you!
