Planning for the future
All water companies in England and Wales are required to produce a Water Resources Management Plan setting out how they will secure water supplies for at least the next 25 years.
To view our current Water Resources Management Plan, please visit our Publications section.
We are now working on our next plan, which is due to be published for consultation in 2018. This involves looking in detail at the availability of water supplies and forecasting demand, and assessing options to re-balance any gap between supply and demand.
We would like to work with other parties that could offer solutions, either in the form of new water supplies or ways to reduce demand from our customers. This could involve partnerships with individuals, landowners, businesses or technology companies. If you would like to submit a proposal to us, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We would prefer proposals to be submitted by 1 November 2016, however we will accept ideas after this date for future planning.
If we consider an idea to be viable, we will look into whether it could be part of our next plan. We can accept solutions from both within and outside of our supply area, and involving either raw or treated water supplies.
