Meter reading
Please use this form if you have received an estimated bill from us and would like to send us your own reading.
Reading your meter
Most meters are fitted in an underground plastic box which includes the stopcock. You can read the meter at any time by lifting the lid. A read-out of the amount used is shown under the transparent panel on the top of the meter.
The black figures are the important ones – they are used to calculate your bill. The red figures are not used for billing purposes. For example, if the reading is:
000432189 or 43.2189 cubic metres, for billing purposes we would record 43 cubic metres. So, when submitting your reading please only submit the black figures.
