Sutton and East Surrey Water

The Company's Board comprises four non-executive directors (including the Chairman), and five executive directors who are responsible for the day-to-day running of the business and ensure that the Company's activities are conducted competently and with integrity.

	Deryk King Chairman, Non-executive Deryk joined the Board in 2009 as Chairman. He has significant regulatory and utility experience gained as the Group Managing Director of Powergen plc and Chief Executive Officer of Centrica North America and Chairman of Centrica's major North American subsidiary, Direct Energy. Prior to that Deryk had a 23 year career with ICI in a number of executive positions.
	John Newton Non-executive Director John joined the Board in 1991. He is the Chairman of Turfsoil Ltd., and was previously the Managing Director.
	John Biles Non-executive Director John joined the Board in 2006. He has extensive financial and general management experience. He was Finance Director of FKI plc from 1998 to 2004 and before that Financial Director of Chubb Security plc (1991 - 1997). He is currently a non-executive director and Chairman of the audit committee for Charter International plc, Bodycote plc, Hermes Fund Managers Ltd and Northern Ireland Electricity plc (previously Viridian plc).
	Stewart Gilliland Non-executive Director Stewart brings to the Board significant marketing, sales and general management experience gained in the food and drinks industry. Stewart has held senior positions within the Whitbread group of companies, Interbrew and InBev and was the Chief Executive Officer of Müller Dairy (UK & Ireland) until late last year.
	Paul Malan Non-executive Director Paul is a Senior Partner of iCON Infrastructure LLP, the investment adviser to various infrastructure funds which invest in water, gas and electricity networks and transportation infrastructure including airports, ports and roads. Prior to this, he worked in the infrastructure businesses of both Deutsche Bank and Macquarie Group.
	Anthony Ferrar Managing Director Anthony joined the company in 2008 after 15 years as the Finance Director and Company Secretary of Bournemouth and West Hampshire Water plc. He has previously worked in UK and overseas contracting, manufacturing and service industries.
	John Chadwick Finance Director and Secretary John joined the Company in 2009. His previous role was as a senior manager at Ofgem. Prior to that he worked for Thames Water for nearly 20 years in finance and regulatory positions.
	Mike Hegarty Operations Director Mike joined the Company in 1984 and was appointed Operations Director in 1996. He previously worked for Babtie, Balfour Beatty and Fife Regional Council where he was involved in a wide spectrum of design and construction projects.
	Nicola Houlahan Water Quality Director Nicola joined the Company in 1996 as a Process Scientist and was appointed Water Quality Director in 2001. She previously worked for Thames Water in various water quality roles.
	Lester Sonden Engineering Director Lester joined the Company in 1997 as Engineering Director and his role includes water resources and regulatory planning. He previously worked as a Senior Engineer with Black and Veatch (formerly Binnie and Partners).
